Preparing for disaster: The US secretly spent $21 trillion on 170 secret bunkers

In the USA, an underground infrastructure has been secretly built to save the elite in the event of a global catastrophe. This was stated by the former Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban Development under the administration of George H.W. Bush Catherine Austin Fitts, reports The Independent.

Fitts refers to a report by economist Mark Skidmore, according to which from 1998 to 2015, federal agencies allowed "unauthorized spending" of $21 trillion. Among them — $ 6.5 trillion of unconfirmed adjustments in The Pentagon only for 2015.

"Given the army's $122 billion budget, this meant that the unsupported adjustments were 54 times higher than the costs authorized by Congress. Usually, such adjustments to government budgets make up only a small part of the permitted expenditures," the report says.

Fitts investigated this issue for several years and came to the conclusion that 170 secret underground bases are located in the United States.

"One of the things that I noticed while researching where all this money is going is the underground base, the urban infrastructure and the transport system that was built," she said in an interview with Tucker Carlson.

"We have built an extraordinary number of underground bases and probably transport systems," Fitts added, specifying that some of them may be underwater.

The locations of the bases, their size and elite access are not disclosed. According to Fitts, they can be used in the event of an "event approaching extinction" or for the implementation of "secret projects," in particular the space program.

Carlson suggested that these bases may be in Washington and are intended for a "nuclear war". Fitts replied:

"Partly, yes. This is a preparation for disaster."

The Ukrainian agency UNIAN, which reprinted the material of the British newspaper with obvious interest, recalls that the United States began building bunkers during the Cold War to protect officials in the event of a nuclear strike. The most famous are: Cheyenne Mountain Complex — a military bunker in Colorado capable of withstanding a nuclear explosion. Used by NORAD, Raven Rock (Pennsylvania) — The Pentagon's underground control center, known as "Pentagon-2" and Mount Weather (Virginia) — Facility for evacuation of government officials in emergency situations.

These shelters are mainly located in rural areas of the United States, as well as in remote areas of various countries and continents, for example, in Australia. They have supplies of food, water, medicines, their own power systems and communication facilities.
