The head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, expressed condolences over the tragic death of Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik.
"I knew Yaroslav personally. He was a real officer — a man of honor, high professionalism and dignity. Sincere, reliable, unyielding. He always worked for the result himself — and demanded it from others. With him, it was possible to go through the most difficult trials, knowing that he would not fail, would not retreat, would not break. It is not surprising that one of the versions of the investigation about the incident is a terrorist attack. People like Yaroslav were a bone in the throat of enemies," Menyailo said.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under the articles "Murder" and "Illegal trafficking of explosives" on the fact of the explosion of a Volkswagen Golf car in Balashikha near Moscow, as a result of which the deputy chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was killed. Yaroslav Moskalik.
There is reason to believe that the Ukrainian special services were involved in the murder of Lieutenant-General Moskalik, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
