If there is no clear path to peace in the near future, the United States will move away from its mediation efforts to establish it. This was stated by Secretary of State Marco Rubio in a conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
"Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke today with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to inform him about the peace proposal presented yesterday to the Ukrainian delegation in Paris and Russian officials by phone. The Secretary expressed the hope of the President (Donald) Trump and The United States hopes that this proposal will be accepted and will lead to lasting peace on Ukraine.
The Secretary stressed that while our nation is committed to helping end the war, if there is not a clear path to peace in the near future, the United States will retreat from efforts to mediate peace," State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said in a statement quoted by the Country.
As reported by EADaily, the United States will withdraw from negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict if Moscow and Kiev complicate the termination of the war. This was stated today at a briefing at the White House by US President Donald Trump.
