In the Vyborg District Court of St. Petersburg, preventive measures were taken against Ramazon Husan ugli Arislonov and Javod Jabbor ugli Jabborov, who are suspected of setting fire to the equipment of mobile operators.
Arislonov is charged with 2 episodes, and Zhabborov is charged with one part 1 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Both were taken into custody until May 18.
"The investigation believes that Arislonov, from 00:01 a.m. to 08:05 p.m. on 03/13/2025, set fire to a cabinet with equipment of a mobile operator of MTS PJSC located at a cellular telecommunications tower located at the address: St. Petersburg, P. Pargolovo, First May Street, opposite 54, owned by LLC "Link Development“. In addition, from 06:00 to 10:30 on 03/16/2025, Arislonov, together with Zhabborov, set fire to cables running from climate cabinets with equipment belonging to MTS PJSC and Megafon PJSC to the antennas of these cellular operators located at a telecommunications tower located near d. 28, building 1 on Suzdal highway St. Petersburg," the telegram channel of the united press service of the courts of St. Petersburg says.
It is noted that the defendants were detained on March 20.
According to Readovka, migrants received an order for sabotage through the darknet from Ukrainian curators. According to one of the saboteurs, he went there in search of an "online job." It is noted that the curator gave him tasks via WhatsApp, explained how to disable geolocation, get close to the tower and set it on fire.
"For each arson, the perpetrators were offered 30 thousand rubles and demanded video reports. Law enforcement officers found out the criminals ... During the interrogation, the arsonists confessed everything, a criminal case was opened against them under Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Sabotage", according to which they face up to 20 years in prison," the newspaper writes.
