Stand-up comedian Artemy Ostanin, against whom a criminal case has been opened under the article on incitement of hatred and humiliation of human dignity, was detained while trying to cross the border of the Russian Federation. Where exactly Ostanin was detained, the press service does not specify.
As EADaily reported, Ostanin previously participated in a show where he told a story about how a disabled person ran over him in the subway. He talked about how he was almost knocked down in the subway by a "stump wagon" driven by a "skater without legs." The comedian advised the disabled person "not to drive so hard," and one of the women in the subway called him a "boor."

A criminal case was opened against Ostanin under paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity).
Ostanin himself explained that he was joking about a "beggar" in the subway who has been riding "without legs on a skateboard for 20 years."
