The People's Artist of Russia, Bulgarian and Russian singer Bedros Kirkorov died at the age of 93. This was announced in the telegram channel by his son, People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov.
"I'm not a child anymore. Today, on March 18, 2025 at 15:37, my dad, People's Artist of Russia Bedros Kirkorov, passed away," the artist wrote.
"But you will never leave your heart," added Kirkorov Jr.
He wished subscribers to "appreciate every moment spent with their relatives."
According to TASS, the cause of death of Kirkorov Sr. was cardiac arrest, this fact was confirmed by the representative of the family Ekaterina Uspenskaya.
"Yes, it's true, today at 15:37. He died at home with his family, his heart stopped," she said.
The media clarifies that two months ago Kirkorov Sr. was admitted to intensive care with pneumonia.
Bedros Kirkorov was born in 1932 in Bulgaria. Graduated from the Musical Comedy Department of the Lunacharsky State Institute of Theatre Arts (now the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts — GITIS). Since 1984 he has been a soloist of the Novgorod Regional Philharmonic named after A. S. Arensky, performed with the orchestra of Russian folk instruments named after V. G. Babanov.
He recorded about 50 songs on the radio, the Melodiya recording studio released a large disc of 12 songs and 10 small records.
