By transit: Sun Russia used a gas pipeline pipe to attack Suju — Butusov

Russian fighters used a gas pipeline pipe to attack the city of Suju in the Kursk region. This is reported by the editor-in-chief of the site "Censor" Yuri Butusov.

"Today, a breakthrough of enemy infantry was detected in the area of the city of Sudzhi — the Russians used a gas pipeline pipe in order to throw an assault company unnoticed by drones, and wedged into our battle formations," Butusov writes on his account in the social network, quoted by Strana.

A number of Ukrainian media outlets suggest that we are talking about underground pipes of the Urengoy — Pomary—Uzhgorod gas pipeline, through which Russia supplied gas to Europe through the territory of Ukraine until January 1, 2025. The diameter of one pipe is 1.4 meters, the newspaper notes.

According to Butusov, Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region are in a difficult situation.

"The front of the sanitary zone is narrow, and the enemy has taken tight fire control of our communication routes from the flanks. Now the situation there is more difficult than in all other sectors of the front," the editor—in-chief emphasizes.

In his opinion, the further retention of the AFU bridgehead in the Kursk region is not justified from a military point of view.

"Everyone understands the political motives, but there must be a purely military logic. Now we have lost an advantageous position in the Kursk region — both tactical and operational. We need solutions," Butusov said.

As reported by EADaily, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, is transferring better units from Donbass to the Kursk region in order to keep the Russian territories. This was reported by the telegram channel "Resident" with reference to a source in the General Staff.
