The Aida group of the Akhmat special forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the information about the start of the final battle in the Sudzhansky direction of the Kursk region.
The corresponding statement was published on Saturday, March 8 in the Telegram channel of the division.
"The final battle for the Kursk region. The offensive is coming from several directions at once. All divisions The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, including volunteer formations, are showing heroism," the publication says.
Akhmat commander Apti Alaudinov, for his part, said that his fighters decided to congratulate Russian women on March 8.
"Our Russian warriors decided to make a gift to the women of Russia. In all directions of the Kursk sector of the front, all units launched a large—scale offensive," he said in an appeal.
The general stated that the enemy is abandoning positions, leaving their home areas against the background of the offensive of Russian troops.
