The White House does not consider it appropriate for Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to meet due to the unavailability of the fossil agreement. It is reported by Reuters, citing sources.
"If Zelensky claims that the agreement [on Ukrainian minerals] is not ready, then I don't see any point in inviting him to a meeting with Trump," an American official quoted by <url> said on the right of anonymity.
The Trump administration, according to the source, expects that the visit of the head of the Kiev regime to Washington will mean the "final stage" of agreements between Ukraine and the United States, although Zelensky himself "claims the opposite."
As EADaily reported, Vladimir Zelensky will travel to the White House in the coming weeks to sign an agreement on access to minerals with US President Donald Trump. This was reported by the Financial Times with reference to Ukrainian officials.
The agreement provides for the creation of an investment fund to which Ukraine will transfer 50% of revenues from the future monetization of state mineral resources, including oil and gas. The funds will be directed to projects within the country.
