The leader of the Russian rock band "Accident" Alexei Kortnev should be given the status of a foreign agent. This was stated by the head of the public movement "Veterans of Russia" Ildar Rezyapov.
According to him, the relevant appeals have already been sent to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Justice.
"Kortnev continues to earn here, while owning real estate in Moscow in the amount of about 70 million rubles. His activities should be checked for foreign influence," Rezyapov told the portal. News.ru .
The activist recalled that Kortnev called the special military operation "imperial ambitions", and also said that "Russia has fenced itself off with a blank wall" from the civilized world. Rezyapov is sure that such actions should not go unpunished.
Recall that in February 2022, Kortnev spoke out strongly against SMO and Russia's actions on Ukraine.
Later, the head of the Federal Anti-Corruption Project, Vitaly Borodin, called for Kortnev and his band's concerts across the country to be canceled "until he realizes which side he is on."
As EADaily reported, on the eve of Kortnev categorically denied reports from various media outlets that he had moved from Russia in the USA. According to Kortnev, since the beginning of the special military operation, he has been to the United States only once, while the artist has no desire to "live there", as well as citizenship, long-term visa or real estate.
The musician assured that "he lives, works and regularly pays taxes at home."
