The head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the vice-governor of Primorsky Krai, commander of the volunteer detachment BARS 22 "Tiger" Sergei Efremov (call sign Cuban), who died while performing a combat mission in the Kursk region.
In his Telegram channel, the Donetsk leader stated that he was personally acquainted with Sergei Viktorovich, and they had discussed issues of the post-war structure of Donbass more than once.
"He has always shown keen interest in the topic of socio-economic development of the Donetsk People's Republic and strengthening ties between our region and Primorye. His death is an irreparable loss," Pushilin wrote.
He stressed that the Cuban won the respect of colleagues and like-minded people as a brave and competent commander, a man of the broadest soul and high moral qualities.
The head of the DPR recalled that Efremov's unit fought in the Ugledar direction during the most fierce battles. The fighters made a significant contribution to the liberation of the city.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Vice-governor of Primorye Sergey Efremov was killed in a special operation zone in the Kursk region. According to preliminary information, the car in which the Cuban was located hit a mine and exploded.
