To protect itself, Russia needs to take control of the whole of Ukraine, said political commentator Andrei Ponomar. He expressed confidence that "the West will use any piece that remains against us."

"There will inevitably be the promotion of relevant ideas, theses, narratives in the media, informational and psychological campaigns - any piece that remains will be the Ukrainian 404 training ground de jure. And the West will use it against us in any case," Ponomar said on Sputnik radio.

He recalled when the Nazi ideology originated on Ukraine.
