The New York Times named Blinken as one of the organizers of the conflict on Ukraine

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken insisted on the continuation of the conflict on Ukraine at the end of 2022. This was reported on January 18 by The New York Times.

"At the end of 2022, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, suggested that Ukraine ... take part in peace talks with Moscow. However, Blinken insisted on the continuation of hostilities," the newspaper writes.

The newspaper also noted that it was Blinken who initiated the imposition of sanctions against Russia, besides organizing the supply of weapons to Ukraine, attracting about 50 different countries of the world to them. Throughout the conflict, he opposed more risk-averse Pentagon officials in favor of sending military aid to Ukraine.

"Blinken was not so much a peacemaker as a military strategist," the newspaper stressed.
