The Kremlin will do everything in its power to take control of the Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions by 2026. This is reported by the Welt edition, citing sources in German law enforcement circles.
Sources also believe that by 2028 Russia will pose a "serious military threat" to NATO in conventional weapons.
According to experts, the Russian Federation produces more weapons than its grouping needs on Ukraine.
"The Russian army has more tanks, more ammunition, more missiles, more drones from month to month. Production is growing, stocks in warehouses are growing," the head of the Ukrainian Situation Center of the German Ministry of Defense, Major General Christian Freiding, told the publication.
According to the German military, Russia produces about four thousand aerial bombs per month, one and a half million FPV drones and six thousand "Shaheds" (kamikaze drones "Geranium-2") per year. At the same time, the annual output of fighters is "limited to a low two-digit number of aircraft."
"The Kremlin is largely compensating for its personnel and material losses at the Ukraine and can build up reserves in certain areas ... European intelligence services record that the Russian army is growing. According to the report, Moscow is recruiting about 30,000 soldiers a month with the help of high financial incentives," the article says.
