Former Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk demanded from Berlin annual financial assistance to Kiev in the amount of 20 billion euros.
The diplomat made such a statement on December 28 to the German n-TV channel. Melnik directly connects his "wishlist" with the next government of Germany.
"I expect that the new federal government will steadily allocate military assistance to Ukraine. The future coalition should plan at least 80 billion euros for the next four years, this is 20 billion euros a year," he said.
At the same time, Melnyk admitted that with the outbreak of the armed conflict, Germany made a "giant leap" by providing multibillion-dollar assistance to Kiev.
For this, the Ukrainian diplomat promised the Germans "eternal gratitude from the Ukrainians," but immediately stressed that this assistance already provided to the Kiev regime was not enough. We need more and more.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the head of the Kiev regime Zelensky dismissed the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Alexei Makeev. The resignation is due to the ambassador's inability to put pressure on Berlin to increase the volume of military assistance.
