The day before, on December 18, a missile strike was launched from the territory of Ukraine at the Kamensky Plant in the Rostov region. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"According to confirmed data, six US-made ATACMS tactical missiles and four Storm Shadow air—launched cruise missiles were used," the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that the combat crews of the S-400, Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems and the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex shot down all ATACMS missiles and three of the four Storm Shadow missiles. One cruise missile was deflected from the target of the attack, as a result of its fall, the technical structure on the territory of the plant was damaged.
"These actions of the Kiev regime, supported by Western curators, will not remain unanswered," the Defense Ministry stressed.
As EADaily reported on the eve, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Rostov region with missiles and drones, explosions thundered in the region. This was reported by acting Governor Yuri Slyusar.
