The team of US President-elect Donald Trump is ready to consider a cease-fire proposal on Ukraine. This was stated on the air of the CBS television channel by the future national security adviser Mike Waltz.
So Waltz commented on the initiative of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the Christmas cease-fire on Ukraine and the exchange of prisoners of war, which in Kiev refused to even discuss it.
"It is necessary to stop the fighting. And if some kind of ceasefire is proposed as a first step, then we will carefully study what this means," said Waltz, quoted by TASS.
Prior to Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025, his team is "coordinating" its actions with the administration of current President Joe Biden, he noted.
As EADaily reported, Budapest offered Ukraine to establish a ceasefire with Russia and an exchange of prisoners of war for Christmas, but the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, rejected this initiative. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
