Law enforcement officers are already working on the spot. The media also clarified that a group of dead people were found on the second floor of a local Indian restaurant. The staff of the institution is being interrogated, a forensic examination is to be conducted.
A preliminary case has been opened under the article on negligent homicide. Perhaps people were poisoned by carbon monoxide. The day before, the electricity was turned off in the restaurant, so an electric generator was turned on on the spot.
The source reminds that this is not the first tragedy in which foreigners have suffered for the resort in Gudauri. In 2018, a popular ski lift "went berserk", which abruptly went down with the passengers. Then two Russians, one Swede and four Ukrainians were injured.
