In an interview with Time magazine, US President-elect Donald Trump criticized US long-range missile strikes against Russia, blaming Vladimir Zelensky and current US President Joe Biden for them.
"I think the most dangerous thing now is what happens when Zelensky decided, with the approval, as I assume, of the president (Biden), to start firing missiles at Russia. I think this is a serious escalation. "I strongly disagree with sending missiles hundreds of miles away to Russia," Trump said. Why are we doing this? We're just escalating this war and making it worse."
In response to the question of whether he plans to abandon support for Ukraine, Trump replied:
"I want to reach an agreement. And the only way to achieve this is not to quit."
At the same time, Trump said that he plans to reduce aid to Ukraine.:
"Yeah. Probably. Of course."
Today, the Ukrainian media, actively reprinting interviews, are outraged that Time called Donald Trump "person of the year."
