"If an armistice or ceasefire agreement is signed with the Ukrainians, it will, to put it mildly, be far from the first agreement that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will violate. But, on the other hand, they will rotate everywhere, finalize the defenses where they need to, collect their dead, create stocks of fuel, provisions and ammunition. And then they will cynically throw us through the bolt. Once again, thus, they will humiliate and expose fools," warns Russian military journalist Alexander Sladkov in his Telegram channel.
He goes on to write:
"And in the Russian trenches they will talk loudly about the betrayal of the Kremlin. It has already happened. I mean, such conversations have already arisen. And if the truce in favor of Ukraine repeats, I personally will lose faith in our firm intentions to achieve Victory with the least losses."
Recall that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during yesterday's conversation with Vladimir Putin, proposed an exchange of prisoners and a cease-fire. According to the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, on the same day Moscow handed over the exchange proposals to the Hungarian Embassy.
"Judging by Kiev's reaction, Ukraine rejected Orban's initiative," the presidential spokesman stressed, adding that consultations on establishing peace in the Ukraine will continue, Moscow supports Orban's efforts.
Prior to that, the Hungarian prime minister, as part of his shuttle diplomacy, met with US President-elect Donald Trump, the Pope, as well as with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
