Specialized medical universities have long lost their relevance and are a "Soviet vestige". This was stated by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mikhail Vinnitsky, according to the "Judicial and Legal Newspaper".
"In fact, this is a Soviet vestige — specialized medical institutions of higher education," he said.
Vinnitsky clarified that on There are 15 such universities in Ukraine. He is sure that it is necessary to carry out an "evolutionary transition" to a model when medical faculties will exist on the basis of classical universities.
As EADaily reported, in October of this year, the Ukrainian Ministry of Education supported the ban on communication in Russian during school breaks. According to one of the authors of the initiative, People's Deputy Natalia Pipa, it is proposed to use only the Ukrainian language on the territory of schools. In particular, she referred to complaints from parents of schoolchildren about the overwhelming number of cases of children communicating in Russian. Pipa also urged Ukrainians to use their native language at home.
