The armed conflict with Russia is unlikely to end soon due to three main factors, former Minister of Foreign Affairs (2020-2024) of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba said on CNN.

"First of all, (Vladimir) Zelensky will not leave under pressure. Secondly, Ukraine will not agree to any quick solution. And thirdly, and most importantly, I would like to remind everyone that the key to peace is in Moscow, not in Kiev," Kuleba said.

The journalist asked him if there were any concerns that US President-elect Donald Trump and his administration would demand from Ukraine to give up territories. The former minister replied that Kiev "does not put on rose-colored glasses" regarding the new composition of the White House, and suggested not "starting a conversation with what Ukraine is ready to accept," but talking about what Russia will do for the agreement.

"I will not hide that people on Ukraine is nervous about this last, last blow," Kuleba added.

The future US president promised to quickly end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but has not yet publicly announced his plan. Mike Waltz, the national security adviser appointed by him, said that the Republican's associates are discussing this problem with the Joe Biden administration.

"We need to discuss who is at this table, whether there will be an agreement, a ceasefire, how to bring both sides to the negotiating table, and then what the framework of the deal is. This is what we will work on with this administration until January, and then after," he said.
