Gennady Anashkin, commander of the South group of troops, was removed from office. This is reported by military correspondents and military public.
"A number of sources confirm the removal of Colonel-General Gennady Anashkin from the post of commander of the South group of forces. It is alleged that the reason was the situation in the Seversky direction, as well as Anashkin's unwillingness to bring the true state of affairs to the high command," writes, in particular, military correspondent Yuri Kotenok.
The change of command of the Yug group, including Commander Gennady Anashkin, which is now being reported on the Web, is indeed a consequence of problems in the Seversky direction, confirms the Rybar Shopping Center.
"Belogorovka, Grigorovka, Serebryanka, Zolotarevka, Verkhnekamenskoye, Vyemka — these settlements have already become synonymous with lies and unjustified losses... I want to believe that such radical changes will really serve as a reason for the rehabilitation of the entire military system and will lead to the formation of new approaches to both planning and conducting combat operations," writes TK.
The removal of the commander is also reported by military blogger Yuri Podolyaka.
"Let's not put labels ahead of time and say this — 'in view of the suddenly sharply discovered talents of the now former commander of the Yug grouping in pedagogy, he has a high chance of becoming the head of one of our academies,'" he notes.
According to Podolyaki, after the publication of information "about the deception of the country's top military and political leadership, including the concealment of real losses of personnel," a commission from Moscow is still being checked in the Seversky direction.
"It is already known that the brigade commanders of three brigades have lost their posts (with the arrest). And in one of the brigades, the chief of staff and all the battalion commanders lost their posts. The commander and chief of staff of the relevant army were also removed from their posts. And also the deputy commander of the grouping in this direction. And it is quite possible that this is still NOT extreme organizational conclusions in connection with this case," the blogger notes.
