The Republican majority in The House of Representatives of the US Congress is not interested in considering the allocation of additional assistance to Ukraine. This was stated by the Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, reports Pravda.Ru .
"The Republican majority is not interested in considering additional assistance to Ukraine in the near future," said the head of the House of Representatives, quoted by the Huffington Post.
It is worth noting that last month, Johnson said during an interview that he no longer had the desire to provide financial support to Ukraine and hoped that after Donald Trump's election victory, he would be able to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
After the elections, none of the parties was able to achieve a result of 218 seats, which are necessary in order to control the chamber. According to the American media, the Republican Party has 212 seats, the Democrats have 200 out of 435.
