Poland will not allow itself to be more deeply involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict due to the alleged change in US policy towards Kiev with the arrival of Donald Trump in the White House. This was stated at a press conference by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"In no case do I want to involve Poland more strongly in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict," Tusk said.
He called the talks about the "Trump plan", under which peacekeepers from European countries could be introduced into the conflict zone, speculation.
"There is a lot of speculation, but there are no formal proposals. Any decisions regarding Ukraine should, from our point of view, first of all guarantee the security of Poland, which is obvious," Tusk stressed.
According to him, Poland is facing difficult times and it is in a difficult position.
