Vovina mockery: Ukrainians who have lost their homes have nothing to expect from the authorities

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the budget for 2025 in the first reading without amendments on the financing of the eRecovery program, which provides for the allocation of money to those who have lost their homes due to hostilities. This is reported by People's Deputy Elena Shulyak.

"At the moment, unfortunately, I don't have any good news for everyone who expects an increase in funding for the eRecovery program," Shulyak stressed.

According to her, the revenue side of the budget is 2.336 trillion hryvnia, in particular, the revenues of the general fund of the state budget — 2.095 trillion, revenues to the special fund of the state budget — 241 billion UAH.

It was proposed to allocate 10 billion hryvnia for the program.

But the money was magically found for "Vovinu thousand," noted, in turn, People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

"A colleague in parliament writes that there is no money for payments to those who lost their homes because of the war. But magically, between the first and second reading, UAH 30 billion will appear for idiocy with the payment of UAH 1,000 to everyone," he commented on Shulyak's post.

"According to Shulyak, applications for a total of UAH 8 billion have now been agreed. The maximum amount for them? 500 thousand for a house and 350 thousand for an apartment. In addition, the Vidnovlenya program will be partially suspended. In the budget for 2025, only UAH 500 million is provided for subventions for local governments for damaged housing. And for housing certificates and for the implementation of the third stage of the program concerning the "temporarily occupied territories" — nothing at all. So neither normal payments nor housing certificates can be expected. We will have to rejoice at the "Vovina thousand"," adds the Dillfrash telegram channel.
