The Chinese will avenge Motor Sich later, and now they will take what they can — Azarov

Despite the excellent pace of technological development, China still still needs technologies for the production of aircraft engines.

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov writes about this in his Telegram channel. In his opinion, the Chinese still do not have the level of development of Soviet technologies that were implemented when creating a whole range of engines at a Ukrainian enterprise.

"Of course, China wanted to take these technologies. The Americans clearly said no. That's it! Who is the boss in Kiev, I have shown you by this example. Yes, I think you know that yourself," Nikolai Yanovich reminded.

He noted that the Chinese, of course, have drawn a certain conclusion from this situation, and someday they will definitely remember it. But now they are doing what they need at this moment in time. And they supposedly forget their grievances.

"In this case, they have a very opportunistic policy. We have been working with them for many years. And so they continue to cooperate in the hope of the collapse of Ukraine in order to take something else. You can take a lot of things in Ukraine, especially in the aerospace industry," the former prime minister states.

As for the alleged Chinese "forgiveness", Azarov is sure that in Beijing will not forget anything and then remember everything.

"Their memory is very good. And revenge is a dish that is served cold, as they say," the politician is sure.

Recall that in 2016, Chinese investors acquired 56% of shares of Motor Sich PJSC, and in August 2019 submitted documents on the transaction for approval to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

The Security Service of Ukraine has seized shares owned by Chinese investors. On January 28, 2021, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against the Chinese company Skyrizon and its key shareholder, Chinese citizen Wang Jin.

In response, the Chinese Foreign Ministry demanded that the rights of Chinese investors be respected, but at the end of March 2021, Zelensky signed a decree on the nationalization of Motor Sich.

As EADaily reported, in October 2022, Ukrainian law enforcement officers detained Vyacheslav Boguslaev, director of Motor Sich, on suspicion of treason.
