The fate of a Ukrainian servicewoman who was injured last winter and was abandoned by her colleagues on the battlefield in the Kherson region, and then rescued by Russian fighters, has become known.
As Kherson Governor Volodymyr Saldo told RIA Novosti, a military woman was included in the prisoner of war exchange list.
The head of the region explained that this soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was treated in one of the Russian hospitals, after which she expressed a desire to participate in the prisoner exchange.
"This woman has received the status of a prisoner of war and is located on the territory of mainland Russia. She expressed a desire to be included in the exchange lists, so now she is waiting for the exchange," said Saldo.
As EADaily reported, at about the same time, the Russian military, conducting military operations in the Kherson direction, captured a Polish mercenary near Krynki. He said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants left him to die on the battlefield and urged his compatriots not to repeat his mistakes.
