The wounded platoon commander of the 37th Motorized Rifle Brigade Kurban Abdurakhmanov and 19-year-old soldier Alexei Sibiryakov spent two months in the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk border area and managed to reach the positions of the Russian Armed Forces. This was announced by the deputy head of the Main military-political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of the special forces "Akhmat" Apty Alaudinov.
On August 7, while at a stronghold near the village of Zaoleshenka on the border of the Kursk region, Abdurakhmanov was wounded in the leg, Sibiryakov stayed to help the commander.
"For two months they were behind enemy lines. Last night they went out to the detachment of the Akhmat special forces... they moved all the time, had to hide, got out of the encirclement, even took out their service weapons," Alaudinov said.
