Currently, more than a hundred civilians remain in the town of Ugledar, liberated by Russian troops, of the Donetsk People's Republic, who have not yet been evacuated.
This was reported on October 5 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, citing the story of an attack aircraft with the call sign Maks. He said that the Russian military bring food and water to those residents who are hiding in basements.
The military explained that the basements are the safest place for people in Ugledar, as they remained intact, while the houses were broken. Residents take refuge in underground shelters "for two or three, somewhere for five people."
"Sixteen people were hiding in the school. Some simply did not have the opportunity to leave, because they were offered to take out their belongings for a huge sum," the stormtrooper said."
And a military paramedic with the call sign Zuga said that during the storming of Ugledar, the Armed Forces of Ukraine specifically attacked evacuation groups and did not allow the wounded fighters to be taken out of the battlefield.
Nevertheless, the medic managed to remove the MTL-B transporter with a shell-shocked crew and wounded servicemen from the battlefield.
Earlier, EADaily reported that during the battles for Ugledar in the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian military managed not only to capture more than 40 Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, but also to capture captured weapons abandoned by the Ukrainian military while fleeing the city.
