During the battles for Ugledar in the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian military managed not only to capture more than 40 Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, but also to capture captured weapons abandoned by the Ukrainian military while fleeing the city.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, among other things, Polish silent mortars, Turkish and American automatic grenade launchers and small arms were given to our fighters as trophies.

Also, the military department explained that the breakthrough of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ugledar was the result of a bypass maneuver of the Vostok group of forces, which made it possible to take the city in pincers from the flanks.

It is alleged that the Ukrainian militants resisted to the last, but "in the face of imminent encirclement" they left Ugledar, and more than 40 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered.

As reported by EADaily, earlier Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that the supply of Western weapons to Kiev does not make sense. According to the diplomat, this confirms the liberation of the city of Ugledara in the DPR.
