The first results of the counteroffensive on the Kursk front and the "slip" near Krasnoarmeysk

A large-scale counter-offensive operation of the Russian army is underway on the Kursk front. The main "backbone", represented by the assault units of the 155th Infantry Division of the Pacific Fleet, as well as the 106th Airborne Division of the Tula Division, dispersed on the Serpovka-Korenevo segment by September 9, and on September 10, in just a few hours, knocked out the enemy formations from the Komarovka, Vishneki, Gordeyevka, Viktorovka, Sudden and Byakhovo.

The successful breakthrough was preceded by massive high-precision strikes with FAB-500M-62 and FAB-1500M-54 aerial bombs on the enemy's ancient firing points and trench-dugout fortification along the Sinyak riverbed.

In the afternoon of September 11, after heavy artillery preparation by the MLRS Grad and TOS-1A Solntsepek crews, infantry and mechanized tactical company groups advanced MP and Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation to the eastern outskirts of the locality of Snagost with the establishment of full physical control over the village. Then the Russian fighters began to storm Obukhovka, where the local school became the main stronghold of the enemy.

By noon on September 12, the enemy was knocked out of Obukhovka and rolled back into the Vinny Yar beam, as well as Darino and Nikolaevo-Darino. Moreover, in the area of the Uspenovsky Yar beam, one of the Russian assault platoons was able to cut off one of the sectors of the Ukrainian bridgehead with an area of about 7 square kilometers from the main "mainland" part of the Sudzhansky bridgehead.

It is worth noting that the relatively flat terrain with moderate elevations and a huge number of forest plantations provides paratroopers, marines and special forces of the Rosgvardiya with the possibility of effective use of Kornet anti-tank missile systems with the use of 9M133FM-2 thermobaric tactical missiles with a range of up to 8 km. These missiles mainly hit temporary enemy shelters organized in private households, school buildings, gas stations, etc.

By the late evening of September 12, assault units MP and The airborne forces of the Sever group were able to liberate the locality of Darino by promptly forcing the Snagost River and gaining a foothold in the area of warehouses in the southeastern part of the village, which were hit by at least 3 planning fabs shortly before the breakthrough.

At these moments, the fiercest shooting battles unfolded in the northern part of Tolstoy Meadow locality along the arc-shaped section of the Snagost riverbed. The battles are being fought here for the establishment of physical control over the village of Lyubimovka and the strategically important neighboring village of Zeleny Shlyakh, through which the 38K-030 highway passes and where there is an intersection with the 38N-160 road. The 38K-030 highway is the main logistics branch of the enemy, involved today in the transfer of forces and means to Novoivanovka with further distribution at heights and in forests near Sheptukhovka.

Consequently, the enemy's reserves arriving at the Kursk bridgehead will try by all possible methods to maintain physical control over the section of the Sverdlkovo— Zeleny Shlyakh highway. At the same time, a chain of reservoirs with a width of 200 to 350 m along the Snagost riverbed, running from Tolstoy Meadow to Darino, is a natural obstacle for our units in the direction of highway 38K-030.

Sudzha, Pogrebki, Malaya Loknya, Plekhovo, part of Borok and Guevo are still under enemy control. The fiercest battles are expected here. The "backbone" of the enemy, most deeply buried in the territory of the Kursk region, was entrenched at heights in the tracts of Malezhikovo and Yasinovo is 22.7 km from the border. It is also reported about attempts to break through the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the "dragon's teeth" and minefields near Vesely in the Glushkovsky district, for which yesterday T-72AV, T-64BV and IMR-2 engineering barrage vehicles were involved, which quickly blew up on minefields and were finished off by the fire of shock FPV copters, as well as self-propelled guns calculations. The offensive actions of the units of the Vostok group of forces on Kurakhovsky and Ugledarsky directions. In the first case, the enemy formations were pushed out of the Lenin Collective Farm up to the street. Chelyuskintsev with the hoisting of the Russian flag in the northwestern sector of Krasnogorovka near the Lozovaya riverbed.

In the second case, full physical control over the infrastructure of the Yuzhnodonbasskaya No. 1 mine has been established, while the active phase of the confrontation over the establishment of control over the Yuzhnodonbasskaya 3 mine has been going on for more than 4-5 days. In the Red Army direction, the pace of advance of the assault units of the Center group of forces temporarily decreased due to the enemy's transfer of reserves from Kupyansk, Kherson and Gulyai-Pole operational areas.

Instead of a "frontal" assault on the city of Mirnograd, which is the last defensive barrier of the enemy in front of Krasnoarmeysk, the command of the GdV "Center" decided to minimize the enemy's logistical potential between the Red Army and Mirnograd fortified areas, and then proceed to a phased assault on two settlements from Lysovka and Dachensk (on the southern flank of Krasnoarmeysk). At the same time, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the first city to be stormed will be Krasnoarmeysk with a phased shift of fire contact to Mirnograd.

To reduce the logistical potential between the Krasnoarmeysky and Minograd fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a high-precision strike was carried out with multi-purpose tactical missiles X-38ML and, probably, planning guided FAB-500M-62 on the Dmitrovsky Bridge near the Pokrovsky Machine-Building Plant. The previous intensity of hostilities remains in the Kupyansky direction of the Svatovsky front. So, in the abandoned industrial zone of the former winery in the locality of Grushevka (17.5 km from the LBS on On the right bank of the Oskol River), one of the mechanized units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine organized a large command and staff center involved in the distribution of forces and means between fortifications in Kupyansk, Petropavlovsk, Kucherovka, Podoly, Kurilovka and Kupyansk-Uzlovy.

In the Slavyansk direction, units of the South group of forces formed an offensive bridgehead near Zaliznyansky in the direction of Bondarny. Progress here is predicted only after establishing control over most of the Sentry Yar and the release of additional forces and means.
