In Perm, the head of the investigative department for the Sverdlovsk region was brutally murdered. The investigator was axed by his ex-wife's roommate. This was reported by the telegram channel "Base".

"According to investigators, on September 9, the suspect came to 46-year-old Yevgeny Seredkin and immediately attacked him with an axe. Seredkin received injuries incompatible with life. The main version of what happened is a murder motivated by jealousy," the report says.

According to local media, the murder took place in front of an 11-year-old child. The suspect himself called the police and was detained.

Seredkin headed the investigative department for the Sverdlovsk district of Perm since 2023.

"Investigators of the first department for the investigation of particularly important cases of the SU IC A criminal case has been opened in Perm Krai on the fact of the murder of an employee of the department on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "d" of part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed with extreme cruelty)," the telegram channel of the regional SU SK.

The head of the RF IC Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the IC SU Russian Federation for the Perm Region Denis Golovkin to provide a report on the progress of the investigation.
