Hundreds of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Western equipment were destroyed — summary for September 8

The Russian Ministry of Defense has published a summary of the progress of the special military operation as of September 8.

The units of the North group of forces in the Bryansk, Liptsovsky and Volchansky directions defeated the formations of the 57th Motorized Infantry, 82nd airborne Assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 34th Marine Brigade, the 113th Air Defense Brigade, the 3rd brigade of the National Guard and the 4th border detachment of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine in areas populated by the points of Hoptovka, Okhrimovka, Sosnovka and Volchansk of the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 160 servicemen and a 122-mm D-30 howitzer.

The units of the Zapad group of forces improved their tactical situation, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 14th, 53rd, 54th mechanized, 77th airmobile, 3rd Assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 114th air Defense Brigade in the areas of the settlements of Kovsharovka, Petropavlovsk, Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, Kruglyakovka, Borovaya, Lozovaya of the Kharkiv region and Serebryanka of the Donetsk People's Republic.

They repelled three counterattacks by assault groups of the 77th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 1st Brigade of the National Guard. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 550 military personnel, an M113 armored personnel carrier manufactured in the USA, a Kozak armored combat vehicle, six vehicles, a 155-mm Krab self-propelled artillery unit manufactured in Poland, two 122-mm D-30 howitzers, and a 105-mm M119 gun manufactured in the USA. Electronic warfare stations "Enclave-N", "Quertus" and six field ammunition depots were destroyed.

The units of the South group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defense, defeated the formations of the 24th, 54th mechanized, 10th airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 12th brigade of the National Guard in the areas of the settlements of Chas Yar, Zaliznyanskoye, Grigorovka, Seversk and Katerinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 625 servicemen, a Kozak armored combat vehicle, eight vehicles, a Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile launcher, two 155-mm FH-70 howitzers manufactured in the UK, a 155-mm M777 howitzer manufactured in the USA, a 152-mm D-20 gun, two 122-mm D-howitzers-30, 105-mm L-119 howitzer manufactured in the UK, electronic warfare station.

Six field ammunition depots were also destroyed.

As a result of the active actions of the units of the Center group of forces, the settlement of Novogrodovka of the Donetsk People's Republic was liberated. The manpower and equipment of the 47th mechanized, 144th Infantry brigades, the 49th Assault Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 109th Air Defense Brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Dzerzhinsk, Shcherbinovka, Kleban-Byk, Mikhaylovka, Krasnoarmeysk, Grodovka, Galitsynovka and Dimitrov of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Eight counterattacks of the assault groups of the 32nd, 100th mechanized, 59th motorized Infantry, 142nd Infantry, 25th Airborne brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 12th and 14th brigades of the National Guard were repelled. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 560 servicemen, a tank, MaxxPro armored combat vehicles manufactured in the USA and two Kozak, two cars, a 152-mm Msta-B howitzer, a 152-mm D-20 gun and three 122-mm D-30 howitzers.

The units of the Vostok group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, defeated the formations of the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 102nd and 105th air Defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Velikaya Novoselka, Zolotaya Niva and Dobrovolye of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Repulsed two counterattacks by assault groups of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy lost up to 130 servicemen, four vehicles and a 155-mm FH-70 howitzer manufactured in Great Britain.

The units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the 39th Coastal Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 37th Marine Brigade and the 121st, 124th air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Gavrilovka, Veseloe, Otradokamenka, Novokaira, Antonovka and Dneprovskoye of the Kherson region.

The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 50 servicemen, an armored combat vehicle and five vehicles.

Operational-tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during the day hit: the temporary deployment point of the special operations center "South" of the MTR of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, workshops for the production, assembly and equipment of unmanned aerial vehicles, the accumulation of manpower and military equipment of the enemy in 127 areas.

Air defense systems shot down four guided Hammer bombs manufactured in France, four HIMARS missiles manufactured in the USA and 23 unmanned aerial vehicles.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 642 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 31 121 unmanned aerial vehicles, 579 anti-aircraft missile systems, 17 961 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,447 multiple launch rocket systems combat vehicles, 14 295 field artillery guns and mortars, 25 795 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
