The APU's rush to Selidovo and New York, the continuation of the breakthrough to Ugledar and Kurakhovo

Over the past week, the situation in various operational areas of the SMO zone has regained a very contrasting character, which is due to nothing other than the redistribution of enemy forces, as well as the introduction of fresh reserves on the Donetsk front.

In particular, the enemy has operationally transferred significant motorized infantry reserves of up to one battalion, as well as up to two batteries of 155-mm barrel and 122-mm rocket artillery, including M777A2 and FH70 howitzers, as well as RM-70 Vampire MLRS, to the Red Army and Selidov directions. Enlisting fire support from artillery and FPV drones, several assault platoon tactical units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a counter-offensive throw from fortifications in the southern quarters of Selidovo in the direction of the eastern part of the city, forcing units of the Center group of forces to withdraw to the northeastern outskirts of Selidovo in the area of fire station No. 63.

Thus, physical control over the Grodovka is observed exclusively in the central and eastern parts of the settlement, it is limited by the Zhuravka riverbed, the western bank of which is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On the southern flank of Mirnograd, which is the last line of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the way to Krasnoarmeysk, the advance is also temporarily suspended in the forest plantations near Nikolaevka, which is due to the transfer of significant reserves to Galitsynovka for further blocking of the "Alexandropol Isthmus" and the formation of the "Krasnogorovsky boiler".

The first contours of the Krasnogorovsky boiler were outlined after noon on September 6, when the assault units of the Russian army reached the northern flank of the settlement of Gornyak. The southern tip of the cauldron neck is located near Gergievka on the southern bank of the Osikovaya River. The blocking of the neck will be completed after the Russian army stormed the settlement of Alexandropol.

In the Novgorod (New York) direction, the transferred motorized infantry reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a number of counterattacks under fire cover from the MBT T-64BV and T-72M1 on the section "Nelepovka - Phenolic Plant" with the final exit to the gas station on the street. Zarechnaya. Thus, the enemy carried out a counter-offensive throw 2 km deep with the fixation in the industrial zone of the Phenolic plant.

A much more positive alignment is observed in the South Donetsk direction. Thus, the offensive operation of the assault units of the Vostok group of forces on the Ugledarsky and southern flank of the Kurakhovsky operational directions is rapidly approaching the culminating stage.

Thus, the most intense confrontation is recorded on the "Prechistovka — Zelenaya Niva" segment (the western flank of Ugledar), where the assault groups of the 40th Separate Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet over the past three days have displaced the formations of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Prechistovka in the direction of Novoukrainka. The enemy has been holding the defense along the Berestovaya beam for more than a day and a half, as well as in the dugout fortification in nearby forest plantations, but given the limited number of reserves and active fire exposure from the TOS-1A "Solntsepek" by targeting the ZALA 421-16E HD optical-electronic reconnaissance UAV, this confrontation will not last long − 3-5 days (perhaps less).

On the Artemivsk front, the situation is consistently positive for the Russian Armed Forces. The airborne assault units of the 106th Airborne Tula Division continue successful offensive operations in the Seversky operational direction.

So, over the past few days, with the fire support of BMD-4M crews working on enemy fortification sites with ZOF70 "Cherry" shells from 2A70 guns, as well as FPV drone operators, Tula paratroopers managed to advance to the central quarters of Perezdny and establish full control over the tactically important settlement of Vyemka. Over the next 3 weeks (until September 30), the US Congress may approve the provision of a $6 billion "package" of military-technical support proposed by the Biden administration to Kiev. The hundreds of light armored vehicles purchased for this amount, as well as small-medium-range air defense systems, may arrive on the Kursk Front by November, which will require more intensive optical-electronic reconnaissance from UAV squadrons in the Russian army to issue target designation to Iskander-M and Tornado-S in a timely manner.
