The Joe Biden administration condemns Russian President Vladimir Putin's comments about the US presidential election. This follows from a statement made during an online briefing with journalists by the coordinator for strategic Communications in The White House National Security Council, John Kirby.
"The only people who should determine who will be the next president of the United States are the American people. And we would be very grateful if Mr. Putin, firstly, would stop talking about our elections and, secondly, would stop interfering in them," Kirby said, quoted by TASS.
Recall, Vladimir Putin during the plenary session at the Eastern Economic Forum said that the Kremlin considers Kamala Harris the favorite of the presidential race in the United States, after Joe Biden withdrew from it. At the same time, the Russian president stressed that the final choice is for the American people, and the Russian authorities will treat this choice with respect.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5.
