Western media gave false information about the causes of the crash on Ukraine fighter F-16. This was stated by Bild analyst Julian Repke.
Several sources have already confirmed that the fighter transferred to the United States was shot down by an American anti-aircraft missile system.
"Instead of openly admitting this, an alternative truth was spread," X Repke writes on his social network account, quoted by <url>.
The F-16s transferred to Ukraine are vulnerable to the Russian air defense system, and Ukrainian pilots lack the experience of controlling these fighters, The Wall Street Journal wrote today.
"Recently, Kiev received six aircraft to intensify the fight against Russia, which is a key symbol of US support. According to a US official, the Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet was destroyed in a crash on Monday, just a few weeks after the first of the American-made aircraft arrived on the Ukraine," the article says.
As EADaily reported, the American F-16 fighter, which was flown by Ukrainian pilot Alexei Mes, was shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system due to discoordination between units. This was announced by People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mariana Bezuglaya, citing sources.
"According to my information, the F-16 of the Ukrainian pilot Alexei Moonfish Mesya was shot down by the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system due to discoordination between units," Bezuglaya wrote in her telegram channel.
