There is a hasty evacuation of local authorities from the Kiev-controlled city of Selidovo in the Donetsk People's Republic amid the advance of Russian troops.
This was reported on Wednesday, August 28 by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing its own informed source who is well acquainted with the situation in this locality.
"All the services have already left the city — there are no utilities, the administration left in early August and took out all the documents, the tax service left. There is almost no communication in the city, there is no water, gas, electricity, today there is nothing at all, we take water from a single well," the agency interlocutor said.
According to him, local residents are currently preparing for active urban battles — people are equipping basements and stocking up on water and provisions.
In addition, according to the source, the troops of the Kiev regime are also preparing for military operations in the city limits, equipping fortified positions.
Earlier, EADaily reported that a rapid breakthrough of the Center group of forces continues in the Pokrovsky direction, during which Russian units launched an assault on the key city of Selidovo.
