The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, found the position of the French foreign ministry ridiculous, which, as a rule, even comments on international court decisions without embarrassment, but in the situation with the arrest of the founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov, the opposite is true.

Earlier, the French Foreign Ministry said that out of respect for the independence of the judicial system in France, "the French government cannot comment on the situation with Mr. Durov."

"The funny thing is that earlier the French Foreign Ministry commented on the decisions of even the UN International Court of Justice without embarrassment. It turns out that he did not respect international law, according to the logic of French diplomats. I won't even talk about comments on decisions of foreign courts — Paris usually doesn't restrain itself," the diplomat wrote in her telegram channel.
