The administration of US President Joe Biden will send Ukraine a new package of military assistance worth about $ 125 million. This was reported by the Associated Press.

According to US officials, the package will include missiles for air defense systems, ammunition for highly mobile artillery missile systems HIMARS, Javelin and a number of other anti-tank missiles, systems and equipment for combating drones and electronic warfare, 155-mm and 105-mm artillery ammunition, vehicles and more.

According to the agency, the official announcement of sending aid may be made on Friday. It also claims that the promised weapons are "from the Pentagon's reserves" and will be delivered as soon as possible.

According to the Pentagon, Washington will continue to supply weapons to Kiev even after the invasion of the Kursk region. In particular, the American side will train Ukrainian pilots to use F-16 fighters in combat.

The Politico newspaper, citing officials of the US administration, reported that the Biden administration had begun discussing ideas for transferring long-range JASSM cruise missiles to Ukraine, but a final decision on this issue had not yet been made.
