Kazakhstan has purchased a record number of passenger aircraft abroad

In six months of 2024, Kazakhstan imported a record number of passenger aircraft. This is reported by the Bureau of National Statistics (BNS) of the republic.

According to the published data, following the results of 6 months, the republic acquired 13 aircraft with a capacity of 50 to 300 people abroad.

The BNS explained that this has not happened since at least 2015.

Usually, no more than five aircraft enter the country in the first half of the year. Exceptions were in 2018 — 8 units and in 2024 - 13 aircraft.

The main suppliers this year were France and Ireland — 6 and 4 units, respectively. 2 aircraft were purchased in the USA. In Germany — 1.

In monetary terms, aircraft imports reached $ 656 million. This is three times higher than last year's level.

One plane cost an average of $ 50.5 million.

Last year, the republic acquired 5 boards worth $ 46.3 million.
