In Stavropol, a local resident desecrated the graves of fighters who died in the SMO zone. This was reported in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.
According to the information of the acting head of the Kursk municipal district of the Stavropol Territory Pavel Babichev, the crime occurred in the village of Rostovanovskoye. The vandalism suspect was promptly detained. Investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
The department explained that the suspect was a 44-year-old local resident.
"The motives for committing this act are now being established," the headquarters said.
A criminal case was opened against the detainee under item "b" of part 2 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of the bodies of the deceased and their burial places). It is specified that the police received three statements from relatives of the deceased military. Offensive inscriptions were put on the portraits of servicemen with a marker.
