Virologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Viktor Zuev, in an interview with AIF, commented on the spread of a new virus in the country that provokes a bloody cough and lung damage similar to pneumonia.

According to the doctor, humanity itself is to blame for everything.

"You and I are witnessing the enormous variability of viral pathogens. After all, there are countless flu viruses alone right now. Involuntarily, you remember the old Latin proverb — times change and we change with them. The signs of pathogens change and we change too. Our sensitivity and degree of receptivity are changing. Moreover, all this happens the further, the more often. All this for a very simple reason — our life is accompanied by an increase in the population, " the virologist believes.

Zuev also recommended wearing masks for the period of manifestation of the cough characteristic of this virus.
