The shooter neutralized by the special forces, who opened indiscriminate shooting from the roof of a house on one of the central avenues of Murmansk, is an employee of the Northern Expeditionary Unit of Emergency Rescue Operations by Vladislav Zavgorodny, the operational services of the region reported.
"The identity of the attacker has been established — this is Vladislav Zavgorodny. According to preliminary information, his place of work is the Northern Expeditionary Unit of Emergency Rescue Operations. He is alive, but in serious condition," TASS reported there.
EADaily reported that an assault on the life of law enforcement officers was initiated after a shooting in the center of Murmansk. The investigation established that on the evening of March 30, a local man born in 1981, who was on the roof of house 10 on Kola Avenue, opened fire on the crew of the police station. During the storming of the roof, the shooter was neutralized, there were no casualties.
