Kiev was preparing an invasion of the Kursk region without any consultations with Berlin. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at a joint press conference with President Maia Sandu in Chisinau.
Scholz once again expressed Germany's determination to support Ukraine "as long as it takes." The chancellor called the operation of the Kiev regime troops in the Russian Kursk region "very limited in terms of space and probably in terms of time" and stressed that Kiev was preparing it without any consultations with Berlin, the DW❶ main telegram channel writes.
At the same press conference, Scholz expressed confidence that Germany and Moldova will soon conclude a migration agreement.
According to him, this agreement will not only allow for the prompt expulsion of illegal immigrants from Germany, but will help attract qualified specialists to the country. The importance of such an agreement for Germany is emphasized by the fact that Scholz is accompanied by the special representative of the Government of the country for migration agreements, Joachim Stamp, on a trip to Moldova.
The German Chancellor also promised that Germany "to the best of its ability" will support Moldova, which has been a candidate for EU membership since December 2023, on its way to the European Union.
