Ukraine's attack on the Kursk region of Russia has now achieved the goals associated with it. This was announced today, August 21, by the Czech ambassador in Kiev, Radek Peh.
According to him, the attack on the Kursk region was a surprise, including for the Ukrainians themselves, since everyone expected a possible offensive in the direction of Crimea. At the same time, Peh noted that "the Ukrainian operation has currently achieved the goals associated with it."
"First of all, we are talking about demonstrating to Western partners Ukraine's ability to continue the fight, to protect the civilian population of the country's border areas from Russian shelling and to limit the capabilities of the Russian forces, which have been slowly advancing in Donbas in recent months," he said.
In addition, the ambassador believes that this attack "is an important psychological incentive to maintain the resilience of Ukrainians."
Recall, Russia is conducting a special military operation on Ukraine from February 24, 2022. On August 6, the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack on the Kursk region, capturing several border villages. Currently, the Russian military is repelling the ongoing attacks of Ukrainian militants, preventing them from moving further.
