The air defense systems of Belarus recorded four violations of the state border of the republic in 2024. This was announced on August 18 by the commander of the Air Force and air defense forces Andrei Lukyanovich.

"This year we have already recorded about 800 flights of light aircraft and helicopters in Poland and the Baltic states. And four violations of the state border were also recorded," he said.

According to him, the crews on duty have climbed more than 450 times this year along patrol routes and in special cases of combat duty. In this regard, Lukyanovich stressed that the forces on duty are on round-the-clock duty to protect the Belarusian sky, and the troops adequately respond to all changes in the situation along the borders of the republic and to flights that take place in a 15-kilometer zone from its borders.

"And these are the flights that we record daily, reconnaissance aircraft, 30-40 flights a week, using the entire arsenal that NATO countries have," the Major General said.

In addition, he said that even more examples are with tactical aviation, which during the exercises is practicing strikes on the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation and Belarus. In addition to aircraft in the Baltic and In the Mediterranean, there are cruise missile carriers capable of hitting targets in our country. Lukyanovich also noted that NATO countries are rapidly supplying military equipment to Poland. We are talking, in particular, about Abrams tanks, K-2, Black Panther, F-35 aircraft, Apache attack helicopters, and so on.

Andrei Lukyanovich also said that on behalf of Alexander Lukashenko, the grouping of aviation, anti-aircraft missile and radio-technical troops on the border with Ukraine was strengthened.

"We confirm that the combat orders received in our branch of the armed forces have already strengthened the grouping. It concerns aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, and radio-technical troops. That is, the grouping has been significantly increased, and at the moment they are on duty at the southern borders of our country," he said.

Recall, the Belarusian authorities have repeatedly stated that they consider NATO's policy towards the republic to be aggressive. In this regard, Minsk continues to strengthen the country's defense capability.
