The White House refrains from openly supporting Kiev's actions, fearing that the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region will be a political defeat for the American administration, political analyst Anton Khashchenko believes.
"The fact that the Americans could help Kiev through the Ministry of Defense or special services is another matter. And they are all silent, they don't understand yet how to react to this. Because if they come out now and support it, and it all collapses after a while - and it collapses — then it will be another political defeat for Biden. The same is with the Europeans — they are sitting and waiting for what will happen next," Khashchenko said on Sputnik radio.
The US administration refrains from publicly supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on the Kursk region, because it does not understand how the situation will develop. Meanwhile, it is quite obvious, according to the political scientist, what will happen next.
"Our actions and in The Kursk region, and our actions in the Donbas, and in the Kharkiv region, plus other actions — this will be a cumulative response, it will be very powerful," Khashchenko added.
On August 13, US President Joe Biden refused to comment on the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the Kursk region.
"I would prefer not to comment on this publicly," Biden said.
