The exact amount of damage in the criminal case of the director of the Patriot Park Vyacheslav Akhmedov has not yet been established, but already exceeds 40 million rubles, law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti.
"According to preliminary data, the amount of damage exceeds 40 million rubles, but the exact amount will be determined after all investigative actions," the agency's interlocutor said.
Earlier, the 235th garrison Military Court reported that Akhmedov was arrested on August 3. In the same case, the deputy head of the Main Directorate of Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Vladimir Shesterov, was detained. A criminal case has been opened against officials of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, FSAU "Central Military-Patriotic Park of Culture and Recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "Patriot" and FSAU Convention and Exhibition Center "Patriot" under the article on fraud.
According to the investigation, Akhmedov and Shesterov, together with their accomplices, were involved in the embezzlement of budget funds allocated to ensure the operation and functioning of the park and the convention and exhibition center.
