"The time of Moscow's unilateral concessions is irrevocably in the past, never in the future, even with the best possible conditions in our relations with NATO, with the EU, which is difficult to think about now, but even in these situations, no unilateral concessions from our side will be granted to the West," he said. — No handouts, gifts, concessions some gestures in order to appease Washington. If they again try to impose something on us that is unilaterally beneficial only to them, then there will be no agreements. It is possible to negotiate only when "bash on bash", the Americans understand such a conversation well," Ryabkov stressed.

At the same time, Ryabkov noted that although Russia would not like escalation, such scenarios are being considered by Moscow.

I am still in favor of avoiding escalation proactively, but scenarios in which an escalation step is possible in fact are undoubtedly being considered," he said.
